Spring Spritz – Lime, Maple & Cinnamon

The Modern Preserver - brings us Flavour Notes: a series of delicious and inspiring recipes created just for our A&C community.

As a cookbook author and recipe developer, Kylee draws on her instinct for exceptional ingredients to create recipes inspired by the A&C index - translating the ingredients we love in fragrance into something you can taste.

Spring is here, and what better way to welcome the longer days and warmer months than with a fresh, zesty spritz inspired by the natural ingredients and bright top notes of our signature fragrance, Lotus Leaf & Lustre.

Zingy makrut lime leaf brings a burst of freshness, while maple and cinnamon add a gentle warmth - a nod to the season we’ve just left behind. Refreshing, lightly spiced and made for the first taste of spring.

This Spring Spritz can be enjoyed as an alcoholic tincture, or kept clean and refreshing with a splash of soda water.

A little zest. A little warmth. A fresh start.

Lime syrup

250ml lime juice, about 10 limes
3-4 Tbsp maple syrup
2 cinnamon quills

Lime rim

3-4 makrut lime leaves
2 Tbsp caster sugar

Drink

Ice
60ml lime syrup
60ml soda
80-100ml Prosecco

Method

Lime syrup

Place all the ingredients into a small saucepan. Stir on a medium low heat for 2 minutes, then leave to infuse for 10 minutes.

Funnel into a clean 200ml bottle, seal and refrigerate until ready to use.

Lime Rim

Bake the lime leaves on a tray at 100°C for 10 minutes and cool.

Blitz them into a dust with a Nutri-bullet
or pestle and mortar.

Mix with the sugar and keep in a sealed
jar until ready to use.

Drink

Rub the rims of tumblers with lime.

Pour a small amount of the lime sugar rim onto a saucer and dip the rims in to coat the tops about 2-5mm.

Build the drink in the order of the ingredient list over ice and stir gently with a straw.

For a mocktail - leave out the Prosecco and just top with soda.
